Posting DetailsPosition NotesThis position is an Oakland University Campus Maintenance and Trades – MEA/NEA position. The incumbent will be represented by the MEA/NEA.This position will remain open a minimum of five (5) working days. External applicants may be considered. Qualified bargaining unit members will receive interviews and initial consideration.Position InformationMinimum QualificationsHigh school graduation or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The ability to read the directions for the use and/or mixing of various cleaning chemicals and compounds and written instructions. Performs physically active work requiring frequent standing, reaching, walking, bending, shoveling, pulling, pushing, climbing on a ladder and lifting in order to perform various cleaning and set-up tasks. Frequent lifting requiring the execution of up to sixty pounds of force to move and use supplies, use cleaning aids and equipment. Works with cleaning chemicals and compounds and polishing materials that may produce strong and/or offensive odors. May work in various weather conditions with extremes in heat and cold. Completion of a physical to verify the applicants ability to perform the duties of the position. Work sample to demonstrate the applicants ability to perform the duties of the position.
