Faculty positions at the School of Nursing are based on 9 month appointments. Candidates must have a RN license and relevant advanced practice experience as well as experience with professional nursing education, education technology, program development, and project management. Candidates are expected to have a record of scholarly work, a commitment to interdisciplinary approaches and teaching experience. Rank and salary are commensurate with education and experience. Clinical faculty are eligible for promotion along the clinical track.The School of Nursing offers nationally accredited baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral degree programs. The ongoing interaction of education, research, and practice benefits the consumer by ensuring quality nursing care.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:Teach across School of Nursing baccalaureate and master programs; may include instructing groups of students in the school’s accelerated nursing program in labs and/or clinical settingsParticipate in program faculty meeting and faculty committees as needed or selected.Assist in development of course materials and assessment practices and/ or assist in student clinical assessments; grading of assignments, exams, and care plans.Serve as a resource/advisor/mentor for students and hold weekly office hours REQUIREMENTS:Master’s degree in Nursing, current NYS licensure, demonstrated record of clinical excellence, superior interpersonal skills with different levels of students.Post-offer health assessment required.
