Description
Robert Half Technology is searching for a Network Administrator in the Rochester area interested in joining an expanding organization!
Configure, install, and maintain network equipment such as firewalls, switches and routers
Have a solid understanding of routing protocols
Familiarity with Aruba wireless systems
Hands-on knowledge of Fortinet equipment
Monitor and maintain WAN and LAN systems and software, troubleshoot connectivity
issues & work with ISPs
Configure, install, and maintain network security and monitoring systems such as
firewall/IPS/IDS, traffic monitoring systems
Actively work on network security, update policies and procedures to meet client
guidelines
Create and maintain documentation that involves network/network security systems
Work with vendors on building new solutions and offerings for the firm
Working knowledge of Cisco VoIP phone systems & Cisco collaboration tools
Working knowledge of authentication mechanisms, encryption technologies, networking
protocols including SMTP, HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP and SNMP
Have knowledge of VMware ESXi and SAN environments
Working knowledge of virtual desktops and virtual environments
Hands-on experience with Group Policies, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP in Windows
environment
Solid understanding of Disaster Recovery solutions
Provide assistance to Level 1 and Level 2 support specialists
Work as the technical lead for major IT projects
Be able to understand and troubleshoot cloud solutions
Requirements
-FortiNet firewall knowledge is a huge plus
-VMWare/ESX host knowledge
-Cisco phone system knowledge
