Systems Engineer specializing in digital cameras and sensors to grow our sensor portfolio. The goal is to expand modular and optimized sensor architectures for autonomous systems applications.

Responsibilities:
Core responsibilities for this position will encompass:
  • Defining requirements & architecture of electro-optical systems.
  • Hardware design and implementation.
  • Unit and system integration and design verification.
  • Responsibility for a variety of technical tasks including board bring-up, and product transition to manufacturing.
  • Conducting and overseeing design reviews.
  • Driving process and standards improvement efforts.
  • Providing technical direction and leadership in a non-supervisory capacity for complex engineering projects.
  • Mentoring of other Engineers.
  • Supporting project planning efforts including task definition and work effort. May develop and evaluate plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities to be carried out by others.
  • Participating in strategic planning and product road map definition.
Skills/Experience:
  • Required
    • Electronic System design competence: requirements, architecture, circuit theory, microprocessors, FPGAs, high speed digital design, HDMI, USB, WIFI, Bluetooth, Serdes, MIPI CSI2, LVDS
    • Proficiency in circuit design and simulation tools
    • Mechanical Engineering Competence: tolerances, CTF's, able to read and analyze mechanical drawings
    • Optics Competence: Imaging knowledge, aptitude and interest, Visible and IR, Color space knowledge, Bayer and debayering. Digital imaging
      experience
    • Understanding of software architectures and design methodologies
    • DFX understanding
    • Capable of a big picture, system-oriented approach
    • Attention to detail
    • Solid technical leadership skills and ability to serve as a project lead
    • Excellent problem solving & troubleshooting skills.
    • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Self-motivation, initiative and organization skills
  • Highly Desired
    • Strategic planning and product road mapping experience
    • Customer
      interfacing experience
    • Desired
      • FPGA programming experience.
      • Embedded programming in C, C, Python
      • Experience with ToF sensors
      • Experience with RF and mmWave radar
      • Understanding of Machine Learning and Neural Networks
        • Qualifications:
        • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Optical or other Engineering discipline. Masters Preferred.
        • 5+ years of relevant experience and/or equivalent combination.
        • Demonstrated subject matter experience.
