Chortke Sanitation will support various areas of the restaurant. Sanitation responsibilities require you to be a strong communicator, a dedicated team player, and detail oriented while alway remaining safety oriented. You will be expected to move quickly, adhere to industry standards, and multitask.
In addition to the general expectations of adhering to safety regulations, policies and procedures, and company standards, Sanitation will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following tasks:
Customer Satisfaction:
- Preparing areas for dining including tables, chairs, and counters
- Maintain a clean environment in the dining spaces, entryways, and bathrooms
- Answer questions about and assist with facility needs
Safety & Health:
- Knowing the menu in detail including all allergens
- Maintaining proper food handling to ensure no cross contamination occurs
- Keeping all stations, kitchen, and dining areas clean (wiping, sweeping, mopping, washing, sanitizing)
- Maintaining sanitary conditions when dishwashing, emptying garbage, and performing all day-to-day functions
To qualify, you should:
- Have the ability to multitask and work responsibly in a fast paced environment
- Have strong communication skills
- Love to help customers and your team members
- Be attentive to detail, friendly, and enthusiastic
- Be a self-starter with the ability to work as part of team
- Be able to prioritize and re-prioritize throughout the day
- Be able to lift 20 lbs
- Be able to stand for long period of time
- Be able to bend, kneel, and reach
Preferred:
- 1 year or more work experience in restaurant or hospitality industries
- Food Handler I or II certification
