Position Summary:

Has the responsibility to ensure all residents have a clean,

pleasant, safe surrounding to live in as well as all visitors and staff. This

position is responsible for the full cleaning schedule of residents rooms and common areas. Creates, updates, and ensures

compliance with departmental procedures and St. Johns policies/procedures.

This is a full time position - 40 hours per week. Monday through

Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Qualifications & Education Required:

High school diploma or equivalent

At least one year experience in Environmental

Services

Minimum of one year working with the elderly

person or similar environment preferred

Able to interact with elders with various

needs and communication styles

Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to

adjust schedules to meet needs of residents and new move ins

Requires tact and courtesy, ability to read,

write, and speak English, and follow written and oral instructions in English

Position Responsibilities:

Report to environmental

Services Manager for weekly and Daily per day assignment changes.

Full cleaning of

scheduled ala carte services for residents apartments and houses throughout

campus

Responsible for cleaning

(2) Guest Suites.

Dry dust or polish

furniture.

Sweep and wet mop floor

in the kitchens and bathrooms.

Wash sinks, tubs, and

showers; disinfect toilets inside and out, polish chrome and metal grab bars

and door handles.

Clean windows inside and

out, weather permitting.

Strip and make beds only

when requested.

Vacuum all accessible

carpeted areas.

Cleaning vacant and

turnover of apartments and cottages.

Assist with upkeep and

appearance of all common areas (i.e. activity room, medical office, marketing

offices, meeting rooms, clubrooms, staff lounge, all corridors and bathrooms).

Refill all paper product

dispensers throughout commons.

Cleans and washes

equipment and responsible for the proper care and storage of work carts.

Maintains a clean, neat,

germ free and safe environment for residents, personnel and visitors.

Knowledge of Safety Data

Sheets (SDS) binder and locations.

Makes necessary changes

on monthly calendar as need arises with permission of manager or supervisor and

alerts residents of scheduled appointments.

Any other duties

assigned by Supervisor/Manager.

Physical Requirements:

Frequent lifting, pulling, bending, reaching of carts and

furniture equipment (up to 75 pounds) occasionally squatting.
