Kelly Services is recruiting for multiple machine operators. The machine operator is responsible for the productivity of your assigned machine. Responsible to report any equipment, safety, productivity or quality problems in a timely fashion.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities
-Must understand and follow all procedures outlined in the Precision Packaging Quality manual. -Must be alert to all possible quality problems and communicate these with the Shift Leader and Technician.
-Responsible for the quality of all parts produced on assigned machine during the shift. Visual/Functional checks are to be done on individual cavities at a 15 minute frequency to ensure a stable process.
-Responsible for meeting or exceeding production quotas on assigned equipment for the shift. ---Must be aware of cycle time of machine as compared to estimate and communicate to Shift ---Leader when cycle time does not meet estimate.
-Must communicate daily with the operators from previous and following shifts. This would include the passing on of pertinent information on causes of down time and corrections made to process during the shift.
-At the end of the shift each operator is required to do the following to ensure a smooth transition:
-Make sure that entire area is swept and clean
-Provide necessary quality and production paperwork forms for the next Operator.
-Accurately complete all paperwork
-Ensure an adequate number of boxes is prepared to help the next operator at the start of their shift.
