Brockport First Baptist is seeking a new office administrator to be part of our team. The office administrator would be the initial point of contact at our church and would oversee day-to-day operations. The administrator would work closely with the pastor and lay leadership to craft all church communications and manage our facilities.

Hours: 12-16 hours per week

Pay: $12-15 per hour

Qualifications:

- Associates degree or higher, preferred.

- 2 years work experience in an office setting, preferred.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Proficiency with Windows & Mac OS, Microsoft Office, Publisher, Quickbooks, and Google Docs.

- Preferred but not required: graphic design, web design, social media, and/or finance experience.

Responsibilities:

- Be the primary point of contact at the church: covering the phones and other church communications, answering the front door, receiving packages, checking voicemail, taking messages, etc.

- Manage church calendars, monitoring building usage and managing the pastors schedule.

- Put together the weekly bulletin & PowerPoint slides for the church service.

- Put together the weekly email newsletter (First Forward).

- Assist in designing church mailings, advertisements, flyers, etc.

- Keep track of office supplies and order new supplies as needed.

- Assist in counting, recording, and reporting the weekly offerings (additional finance and bookkeeping responsibilities may be added, based on experience).

- Maintain the church directory, keeping it up to date.

- Oversee the phone tree, which alerts church members to closures, emergencies, and other important updates.

- Send, receive, and sort mail.

- Assist in maintaining and updating the church website and social media accounts.

Termination Policy: There will be a 90-day probationary period whereby either party may terminate employment without cause. Beyond this a two-week notice is expected.
