Field Engineer We are looking for a Field Engineer to join our team in Syracuse or Rochester NY.
You will work closely with the local Project Manager and account teams to assist in all aspects of deploying and supporting hardware and related systems on the network. This person will work independently to troubleshoot network problems, perform radio frequency (RF) coverage tests, and gather survey data.
Responsibilities:
Drive to various locations around the designated area to conduct site surveys
Update database containing the status of devices
Participate with the customer in resolving network problems
Maintain accurate records of work performed and status of Network Devices
Take direction from Sr. field engineering management, lead field engineers, and project management to maintain productivity goals
Drive to field network locations requiring onsite troubleshooting
Comply with rules regarding use of company vehicles
Maintain and safeguard company laptop, test equipment, access badges, keys, and other assets from damage and/or loss
Requirements:
Some experience troubleshooting RF radios out in the field using supplied test equipment
Working with Drive Test equipment and locating network locations for test (GPS, GIS)
