Harbor Consulting & Management, Inc., a 20+ year old dynamic IT Consulting firm, is seeking a P/T end-user support professional to support a key customer's Rochester branch office. As Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, Citrix, and Symantec partners, we are seeking the "BEST" talent to help us serve our customer.
The End-user Support Analyst will work 20 - 25 hours per week in response to client needs. This is a part-time contract position with potential for full-time/permanent status.
The ideal candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. This position is for an energetic, ambitious, dependable and organized team player who needs little motivation or supervision from others.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, but are not limited to, the following:
-Provide on site end-user support to client sites
-Function as the primary technical for a remote office with 25 40 Users
-Install, configure, and troubleshoot workstations, notebooks, network printers, and PDAs
-Removal of spyware, viruses, worms, and other malicious software from computers
-Ability to complete minor repairs, upgrades, and installation of hardware and software
-Insure compliance to operational policies and the change management process
-Perform PC software and hardware preventive maintenance (fixes)
-Insure all trouble tickets are detailed and completed accurately
-Successfully manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
-Stay current with changing technologies; willing and able to take on new tasks and responsibilities
-Implement IT solutions according to established corporate policies, procedures, and guidelines.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS are include:
At least (4) years paid, recent, professional end-user help desk or desktop support experience
Must be proficient in Windows 7 Thru Windows 10, Office 2016 and Office 365
Strong organizational, verbal, written and inter-group collaborative skills
An ability to successfully interact with all levels of small and medium size business staff
Executive support is a plus
Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines onsite and in offsite locations
Have acquired relevant industry certifications in the computer and network technical fields (e.g., Microsoft, CompTIA)
A current MCP certification is preferred.
A strong commitment to professional development and a willingness to achieve and update professional certification is required.
You must be legally be eligible to work in the United States - (US citizens or green card holders only)
Reliable transportation is a must
STRONGLY ENCOURAGED skills include: Financial Services and Legal IT support experience
A degree in Computer Science, MIS or other related technical field OR substantial industry experience
