Essential Job Functions:

Safe operation of Excavator:
Safe Handling and/or moving material
Knowledge of the Excavator loading requirements; material shipping specifications; weight thresholds
Effective communication with all site personnel
Maintain daily logs of equipment usage, maintenance, etc.
Daily maintenance of equipment
Identify, report, correct and/or prevent hazards
Perform tasks maintaining all health, safety and environmental rules and ensure work is completed in a safe and responsible manner

Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit for long periods
Handle and manipulate objects on a repetitive basis
Ability to see well and distinguish between back up alarms, voices and typical sounds
Ensure others around you are aware of your whereabouts
Environmental Adaptability:
Work outside in the elements regardless of the season
Personal protective equipment required: High visibility clothing, hard hat, hearing /eye protection, foot protection (steel toe boots)
Experience and work conduct:
Work assigned schedule
Heavy equipment certification a plus
2 plus years of heavy equipment operation experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Organizational skills, able to multi-task
Self-motivated, ability to work independently
Team player, able to get along with a diverse group of people working
