Growing excavation company is seeking experienced pipe layers to work on both residential and commercial construction projects. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with backhoe operator to supervise the correct depth and grade to lay pipe
Work with pipe craft and civil crews to place pipe in ditches
Lay and install various pipes and drains
Installing traffic control devices and flagging when needed
Ability to work with GPS equipment (Preferred)
Drive trucks carrying materials and equipment from storage to sites if applicable
Performs a variety of task that will include having to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods of time, walk, climb and bend under varies field conditions and be able to perform visual tasks such as backup spotting, hear and react to back up alarms
Understands, interprets and follows directions from supervisors
Attention to safety rules and regulations is a must
Able to work independently as well as with others to complete daily activities according to work schedule
Requirements:
1 year experience
Valid driver’s license
Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs.
OSHA Certifications (Preferred)
Must be able to pre-fabricate pipe using ductile iron fittings, HDPE, slip joints and steel pipe
Complete tasks by safely and efficiently operating and maintaining equipment
Team player, able to get along with a diverse group of people
Dependability is a must
