Dynamic Respiratory Services -
Accountability : Respiratory Director
Requirements : Respiratory Therapy Care Practitioner who is a graduate of an American Medical Association approved training program.
Has successfully passed the certification examination. Maintains a current RCP license, CPR certification. Possess a valid and current driver’s license and auto insurance.
Duties :
Artificial airway management
Aerosolized drug administration
Oxygen therapy
Humidity therapy
CPAP therapy
Pulse oximetry
Capnography
Patient assessment
Effective communication with other department and family members
Operation of all equipment in accordance with department policy
Quality control of all equipment
Participation in the departments quality improvement programs
Equipment cleaning
Participation in in-service education program
Following Physician orders
Respond to emergency calls on an on-call basis.
Other assigned duties
Physical and Emotional Demands : Good physical and emotional health. Needs to comprehend and communicate with staff, residents and their families.
Must be able to travel by automobile.
Exposure Risks : Normal work routine could involve exposure to blood and body fluids. Responsible for following OSHA guideline standard and the use of universal precautions.
Working Conditions : Hours indicated by the residents and community's needs.
