Manpower Engineering has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director in Product Management. This position will be located in Syracuse, NY with global manufacturing company. Relocation provided if needed.
Responsibilities:
Proactively manage product portfolios including the entire product life cycle from ideation, development, commercialization, and go-to-market, and end of life, and lead product through multiple stages of the process.
Develop a strategy for product line under management, set objectives, key performance indicators, prioritize and leverage available resources to deliver results
Conduct product training for both internal sales and service teams as well as customers as required
Serve as a go-to person for all initial queries regarding the product (commercial use cases, technical deployment, etc)
Assist in the development of annual, long-range, and ad hoc financial plans where product lines under management are in question, including key indicators of financial, operational, and business health for product lines
Work with marketing communications to ensure Container complete product portfolio sufficiently represented at major events and platforms (e.g. events, presentations, brochures, training, and videos) for launching new products
Prioritize and drive global platforming initiatives, working with Sales, Engineering, Program Management, Finance, Operations, etc
Drive insights from competitive analyses to ensure Carrier maintains a cutting edge with products, technology, and services
Analyze and monitor relevant global and regional regulatory trends
Experience/qualifications
10-12 years' experience in product management of container refrigeration products, related mechanical engineering fields, and/or B2B digital solutions in a global organization
Strong commercial and strategic acumen, including in building and evaluating business models
Demonstrated experience in leading global product portfolio and generating value through new product introductions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated record of successfully interacting with and influencing key senior and international stakeholders
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively and proactively communicate across different functional teams, customers, and global internal stakeholders in a matrix environment
Results-driven with a bias for action and the ability to break down barriers across functions to accelerate programs and profitable growth
Self-starter with the ability to work independently to deliver business results
Experience in design thinking, phase-gate, and/or Agile/scrum development methodologies
Experience developing user personas, use cases, and technical product requirements
Ability to lead, work, and influence in a cross-functional environment
Travel Requirements - 25-30%, including internationally for extended trips
Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Master's (in Engineering or Business Administration) preferred
