Today, our clients benefit from a full suite of apps, a growing list of API integrations and many custom designed enhancements.Position SummaryAs a Network Engineer, your primary responsibility involves building and administrating our networks located in Rapid owned data centers in Syracuse, NY and Corona, CA. The position requires a passion to join a team that designs, deploys and supports a minimum 99.999% -five nines- uptime of all production systems.Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain and administering LAN/WAN networks and other environments including operating systems, application software, hardware and complex configurations
Monitor network statistics to recommend adjustments to optimize performance
Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software and other data center problems
Performing system backups and disaster recovery operations when required
Protecting data, software and hardware by planning and implementing security measures
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols
Strong understanding of Cisco networking principles, including layer 2/3 switching experience
Application load balancing and high availability experience, utilizing f5 Networks solutions
Demonstrated ability to apply controls for security compliance within a Palo Alto firewall and Traps endpoint protection
A self-starter with proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Scheduled on call 7x24 support rotation required
Qualification Standards
Minimum four (4) year degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline required
Ability to obtain Department of Defense SECRET Clearance required
Minimum of 2 years- experience configuring and maintaining networks and systems
Technology certifications a plus
