BIGNAME Commerce is currently seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be well spoken and must be able to operate with discretion and confidentiality. They will need to be extremely dependable and capable of multitasking, while meeting deadlines. This key member of our team will regularly communicate with the Human Resources and Payroll teams at our headquarters on Long Island, New York, to ensure a seamless workflow.
Job Requirements:
2+ years of relevant experience
Working knowledge of safety standards and OSHA guidelines
Must be organized, motivated, hardworking and have a positive attitude
A team player who is assertive yet approachable
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong computer competency
Experience with Paychex is a plus
Google Suite familiarity is a plus (Docs, Sheets and Slides)
Job Description:
Responsible for processing and distributing payroll (exempt and nonexempt employees)
Oversee time and attendance monitoring
Ensure compliance and accuracy with current wage and hour laws/requirements
Manage direct deposit, benefit withholding, holiday/PTO pay, and payroll deductions
Streamlining and process improvement
Assist HQ with the planning of company events
Point person for unemployment claims and employment verifications
Handling of employee suggestions and complaints
Onboarding and exiting related tasks (post jobs, review resumes, new hire paperwork, orientation, etc.)
Coordinate with upper management regarding disciplinary actions
In charge of setting up employee benefits
