Are you a compassionate, dedicated individual committed to making a positive impact in someone’s life? We are seeking a Mentor/Life Coach to support and empower a disabled deaf adult male on his journey to greater independence, confidence, and well-being.
Responsibilities
Work one-on-one to provide guidance, encouragement, and assistance tailored to individual needs.
Interpret or translate spoken word into sign language
Assist with daily living skills and organization
Encourage and participate in community activities with person
Collaborate with family members and other support professionals as needed
Promote independence and self-advocacy
Qualifications
Fluent in Sign Language
Understanding of the unique challenges faced by disabled adults
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, empathy, and reliability
Ability to tailor support to individual needs and preferences
Reliable transportation
