Office Assistant (additional) wanted for home office and personal paperwork/computer work and tasks. My long-term staff person retired in 2018 and it seems it will take 2 people to replace her (and the additional tasks I've added).

Minimum 4-6 hours a week, more if our schedules coordinate and if you want more hours. Possible work times are daytime availability on Wednesday and/or Thursday and/or Friday. Weekend availability, especially some time on many Saturdays day and/or evening is very helpful but not required long term, it may be very useful for training. If you are available only weekday evenings, unfortunately that will not work for me. I am offering $15 an hour start for good performance, especially prioritizing and ability to organize despite me (I do have ADD). I have to be honest that I have high expectations. You have to be mentally sharp with a clear mind, good attention, good memory and have a good work ethic. I would consider hiring someone with not a lot of experience or a subset of the skills I need but the starting pay might be less.

You will need:

- Attention to detail, this is a very detailed job and requires a lot of accuracy.

- Basic computer skills: especially facility at file organization in folders in Windows, basic internet, basic editing in Word, how to access flash drive & external hard drive.

- Willingness to carefully complete multiple detailed lists of periodic (but often very simple) tasks.

- Good organizing ability

- Ability and willingness to multitask at times.

- Good intelligence.

- Good ability to listen carefully and fully to verbal instruction.

- The ability to feel good about having done the important things thoroughly and well, even though there is always lots more to do! You will probably never get "everything" done here.

- To enjoy being busy.

Additional helpful skills (but not required):

- Microsoft word at a moderate level,

- Electronic calendar entries,

- iPad and/or iPhone experience,

- Basic knowledge of excel, for example how to enter and edit information into a cell and how to insert a blank line (formula knowledge is not needed).

-Some experience with a bookkeeping program, I use Quicken (not at all needed)

There will be some large projects and also many small varied tasks prompted by daily, weekly and monthly lists. Much of the time after training you would be working on your own. I will be usually available but busy doing my own work in another room

5) Please let me know approximately how close you are to the Carrier Circle area or Kirkville Rd exit of 481 (or approximately where you would be coming from). Some shifts, especially during training will only be 2-3 hours long.

Unfortunately, my home office is not accessible. There are 2 half flights of stairs that will need to be navigated a few times a day.
