LB Lightning Cyclery - Seasonal Part time position. 15-30 hours per week. Possibility of full-time during peak season.
General Summary
The Sales Associate's primary responsibility will be in the sales of bicycles and bicycle parts and accessories, helping customers with bicycle questions and issues, and in evaluating and signing in service bikes. They will also assist in the receiving, stocking, and pricing of all merchandise and in helping to maintain a clean and orderly merchandise presentation and overall store cleanliness. Must be a bicycle enthusiast.
Essential requirements, duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may also be assigned.
- Outstanding customer service.
- Provide a positive representation of bike shop.
- Proactively assist customers in solving problems.
-Greet customers entering and throughout the store. Thank customers when finished and when they are leaving the store.
-Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates.
-Ensure all messages and calls are answered promptly, courteously, and effectively.
-Forward any customer complaint that cannot be handled to a member of management.
- Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products.
- Assist customers throughout the store with personal, customized service based on the premise of amazing every customer, every time.
Experience:
- Formal retail experience preferred along with strong knowledge of bicycles.
Physical Demands
- Standing, walking, lifting (up to 50lbs) and climbing.
