We are looking for a qualified IT Technician to join our corporate team in Syracuse, NY.
Job Summary
Qualified applicant would be responsible for installing and maintaining computer systems and networks while training users of the systems to make appropriate and safe usage of the IT infrastructure.
Essential Job Duties:
-Assist personnel with installation, configuration and ongoing usability of system hardware and software.
-Offer daily operations and systems support to personnel
-Verify functionality of hardware and software components
-Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in person, remotely and via phone
-Assist employee with computer problems and answer their questions
-Conduct daily backup operations
Requirements
-2 or 4 year degree in Computer Science or comparable field
-3 + years' experience in computer networks and systems maintenance preferred
-2+ years' experience on current network operating systems preferred
-Ability to meet deadlines and manage stress effectively in high pressure situations
-Understanding of IT principles and an ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to a varied audience.
-Proven experience at IT Technician or comparable position
-Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-In depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks
-Knowledge of Internet security and data privacy principles
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 40 to 42 hours a week
