Cooper KIA located Yorkville, NY is seeking an Automotive Service Technician for our growing Service Department. Applicant should have general knowledge of automotive repairs as well as Makes and Models of various Manufacturers. Applicant must have a neat and clean appearance; excellent customer service and communication skills; excel in a fast pace environment and possess basic computer skills. Responsibilities:
Performing requested repair work in a productive and efficient manner
Using Diagnostic Equipment and Special Service tools to test vehicle components
Test driving vehicles for diagnosis and repair verification
Repairing vehicles under warranty to manufacturer specifications
Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, steering, electrical, air conditioning, etc
Providing the Service Advisor with an estimate of any additional repairs needed
Job Requirements
High School diploma
Must have at least 2 years of experience as an auto technician
Must have a valid driverâs license
Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information
Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
A fast learner with excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent Customer Centric Service Skills
Ensures Customer Vehicles are kept clean and treated with respect
Must be a helpful Team Player
Maintain a neat, clean and orderly work station
Skills/Qualifications
General knowledge of automobiles
Ability to analyze and identify problems quickly
Good Communication and basic Computer skills
Good Mathematical and Reading skills
Ability to learn new technology
Ability to learn new Service techniques and procedures
