DescriptionRobert Half Finance currently has a full-time position open for an experienced Senior Accountant with drive and know-how to join a rapidly-growing team in the TONAWANDA, New York area. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for producing financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Ensure corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls are followed when working with business partners and be able to provide support on special requests
Present analysis on financial results such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Supply Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management
Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Apply oneself to various department-wide initiatives
Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Requirements
5+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Proven analytical skills - defining problems, collecting relevant data, drawing valid conclusions, and recommending improvement/corrective actions
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Be detailed, flexible, and organized
Efficient in ERP systems
Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Able to manage time well
SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Solid understanding of corporate finance
Prior work done in public accounting is desired
