We're looking a talented and highly motivated individual to join its Systems and Operations Engineering (SOE) team as a systems and operations engineering manager. SOE administers, enhances, builds, and supports user-facing tools, technologies, and accompanying infrastructure in the desktop and mobile space (e.g., Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Citrix, and Slack), develops internal-facing tools to automate and improve Systems Helpdesk operations, and provides technical escalation for other parts of the Helpdesk. This individual will be responsible for managing and growing the SOE team, overseeing operations and engineering work, shaping and communicating its charter and responsibilities, and leading strategic initiatives in collaboration with Systems management.

The systems and operations engineering manager will oversee the SOE team’s operational responsibilities, guide the team’s engineering and development efforts, streamline processes and documentation, and lead the professional development of the team. This person will also build strong relationships with other groups to ensure successful partnerships across the Systems department and firm.

Candidates should have five to ten years of relevant experience combined with excellent leadership, communication, judgment, and organizational skills and a proven track record of building operational processes and policy. Experience in administration and automation in both Linux and Windows environments, an understanding of Windows and Linux fundamentals, and proficiency in a programming language like Python or PowerShell are prerequisites.

Applicants should be able to successfully define goals and success measures, inspire team members, and establish meaningful collaboration channels with other engineering and operations groups. They should be motivated to continuously look for ways to strengthen the team and function.Prior experience managing and building a team in an operations and engineering environment is preferred.
