The Housing Authority has an immediate opening for an individual to work under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor or other appropriate administrative staff, responsible for the general maintenance and minor repairs to all buildings, building systems, grounds, and other related tasks as required. The successful candidate needs to be knowledgeable in basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC and carpentry, with the ability to troubleshoot and make minor repairs to buildings, building systems and equipment. The ability to understand verbal and written instructions, along with the ability to perform various janitorial and maintenance tasks as required.
Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma and two years of experience in either building construction or maintenance work in one or more of the standard trades, such as carpentry, plumbing,HVAC and electrical. Successful candidate must be willing to be in an on call rotation, lift at least fifty pounds, and must possess a valid NYS driver's license.
