Full-time Skilled Laborer needed for great family-owned company in the Rome area.
Job Responsibilities:
Responds to hazardous and non-hazardous spills
Manage portable toilet rentals and routes which includes building, delivering, servicing and cleaning portable toilet units
Build concrete block piers to support structures while excavation is being performed
Cut and clean aboveground and underground storage tanks
Assist in installation of vapor extraction systems, carbon filtration systems, etc.
Uncover and pump septic tanks
Assist in installation and maintenance of septic systems
Washing, cleaning and light maintenance of all equipment
General maintenance around yard such as sweeping, raking, mowing, painting and building
Uses hand tools such as jack hammers and shovels to perform duties required
Applies absorbent pads and boom at spill site and monitors as necessary
Cutting, splitting and stacking wood
Plowing and shoveling snow
Additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
Pay: $12.50 - $13.00 per hour to start. Opportunities to advance based on performance and reliability/dependability
Hours: Monday through Friday 7:00AM - 5:00PM and some Saturdays as needed. Overtime opportunities available.
Requirements:
High school diploma/GED preferred
Physically capable of performing the job duties
Must have valid drivers license & reliable transportation
Must have a flexible schedule & be willing to be on-call 24/7
Prior heavy equipment experience a plus
Must reside in the Rome area
