OGT is searching for an auto and light truck mechanic who is proficient in tires, steering, suspension, brakes, engine and transmission replacement. AC and electrical proficiency is highly desired but not required. We are a very busy shop that has been in business for 35+ years and we offer the opportunity to work on a wide variety of vehicles and repairs to build your skill set and potential for advancement.
Salary is commensurate with experience and we offer wages comparable to or better than the market. Benefits include medical/dental benefit, paid time off, 401k retirement program, training, and potential for advancement. No nights, no weekends. Our technicians work (4) 10 hour shifts so you have 3 days off every week, and we close at 5 pm.
Job Qualifications:
Prior experience as an automotive technician
Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications preferred but NOT REQUIRED
New York State Vehicle Safety Inspector license preferred but not required
Valid driver's license
Team oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.
Must have your own tools.
Satisfactory completion of pre-employment screenings.
Perform repeated and repetitive movement consistent with the auto repair industry.
