1. Responsible for driving shuttle buses in a safe and efficient manner.
2. Uses proper radio protocol at all times. Keeps radio transmissions clean, complete and concise. Uses radio only when necessary.
3. Reports all irregular activity immediately (safety hazards, violations, criminal activity, sleepers, panhandlers).
4. Always signs keys in and out for vehicle in use and follows key control policy.
5. Consistently uses time sheets to report shift start and shift end.
6. Always performs pre-check of vehicle in use. Checks for fluid leaks, blown bulbs, tire wear and low pressure. Immediately reports damage to Supervisor.
7. Consistently checks all fluid levels when fueling vehicle.
8. Ensures the cleanliness of vehicle in use. Sweeps when necessary. Enforces no eating/drinking policy on vehicle.
9. Maintains reasonable pace while driving designated route. Stops only at designated bus stops and follows designated route unless otherwise advised by Supervisor.
10. Adheres to all regulations regarding maximum number of Patrons/Team Members allowed on bus.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or Equivalency is preferred.
2. Must possess a valid NYS Commercial Drivers License (Class B or CDL) with passenger endorsement (no restrictions).
3. Must be able to meet NYS insurance requirements.
4. Prior experience driving a bus professionally is preferred.
5. Must be able to drive various bus sizes.
4. Must maintain strict confidentiality at all times on and off premises.
5. Must be able to pass Turning Stone Security Department training program.
6. Must have strong interpersonal communication skills. Must be able to speak and understand English fluently and have the skills required to interact with guests and co-workers.
7. Must possess reading and writing ability to comprehend and complete manuals, logs, directions, schedules, instructions, general procedures, and standard forms.
