General Statement of Duties:
The incumbent will be primarily responsible for a variety of office duties, answering telephones, providing general clerical support to other department employees as needed, communicating basic program information to consumers, and field work with WAP crew as needed. The incumbent will also provide support and assistance to the Program Manager in program planning and the implementation of agency policy.
Essential Job Functions:
The following is a summary of the essential functions of this job. The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned below, and essential functions may change.
1. Completes intake forms and verifications of income eligibility for the Weatherization Program. Provides follow up to consumers requesting applications. Assists consumers with filling out applications and obtaining necessary paperwork.
2. Assists with maintaining Weatherization inventory, and accurately enters in all inflows and outflows on an established tracking system.
3. Responsible for assisting Program Manager with all aspects of the programs secondary projects (such as Empower NY, Cooling Program, and OFA Home Modification Program).
4. Provides program support with clerical tasks to include phone coverage, copying, collating, filing, faxing, correspondence, ordering office supplies, and preparing applicable reports/AP requests.
5. Works in tandem with the Weatherization crew in the field, transports materials to the job site, and completes assigned weatherization tasks as directed.
6. Follows all Lead Safe Practices according to DHCR requirements. Uses all safety equipment consistently and properly. Promptly notifies appropriate personnel of any potential safety concerns regarding the work site, tools, ladders, and protective equipment.

11. Ensures consumer confidentiality according to regulations and agency policy.
12. Properly reports all work-related accidents and completes the appropriate reports.
13. Attends all meetings and trainings as required by the agency and in compliance with grants, and actively acquires/maintains certifications and credentials necessary for performance of duties.
14. Performs other duties as assigned, including assisting other agency programs as directed.
Qualifications:
The following qualifications are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of the job:
1. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Have the ability to operate a computer, learn database entry, and comprehend complex regulations;
Have knowledge of agency programs as well as services available in the community;
Have the ability to access and traverse between sites to perform services with or without assistance (ie: requiring full range of body motion to include bending, kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, reaching, lifting and the ability to carry items with or without assistance);
Communicate effectively and accurately carry out oral and written instructions;
Work independently and in a team setting, with the ability to manage multiple priorities;
Have a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record, travel as necessary to attend meetings, conferences and trainings relevant to the job.
2. Acceptable Experience and Training:
The incumbent must possess a High School diploma or equivalent; with a preference of relevant college coursework or experience directly related to the job requirements. Experience with Microsoft Word, Publisher, Excel and PowerPoint preferred. The incumbent must obtain Lead Safety certification within one year of hire to work on a job site. Compensation is relative to experience and skills listed above.
