Summary:

The Executive Director strategically leads all fundraising programs and activities. The Executive Director will ensure the accomplishment of The Wolf Foundation’s mission and vision, and the accountability of the Foundation to CDS Life Transitions, donors and the community. This position provides strategy, supervision, planning and direction in all areas of development, including annual fundraising, campaign development, business partnerships, planned giving, major gift and planned giving solicitation. The Executive Director supports the mission of CDS Life Transitions by raising funds, providing exemplary stewardship and management of those funds, and promoting the work of The Wolf Foundation and CDS Transitions in the community.

Essential Job Functions:

Develops and sets strategic priorities, financial goals, standards, policies, and procedures for The Wolf Foundation.

Designs, implements and monitors a viable fundraising plan, policies, and procedures that support the strategic plan and mission of The Wolf Foundation and CDSLT.

Develops and oversees major donor development, planned giving, campaigns, special events, donor recognition, and any other activities that contribute to the effectiveness of The Wolf Foundation

Actively identifies, cultivates, and solicits donor prospects, and ensures the availability of collateral materials to support solicitations.

Works with the President/CEO, senior administrators, and Board of Directors to promote constituent engagement and build partnerships to ensure a consistently strong message, positive community image, and sustainable giving.

Expands donor base and build donor loyalty.

Builds the Foundation Endowment to provide long-term financial support of CDSLT services.

Effectively manages, maintains, and keeps donor database up to date.

Ensures the development and operation of a gift management system, including gift acknowledgment and follow-up stewardship activities and reports.

Ensure the filing of all legal and regulatory documents and monitor compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Help guide and enable the Board, Board committees, and individual Board members to participate actively in the fund development process.

Serve as the chief spokesperson for The Wolf Foundation and CDS Life Transitions, ensuring proper representation to the community.

Manages community involvement and preparation for key CDSLT events.

Serve as the primary steward of the financial resources of the Foundation and manage other assets responsibly.

Assure all Foundation activities are within budget limitations, fiscally well-managed, and cost-effective. Perform post-event/campaign analysis for return on investment.

Adhere to all Wolf Foundation and CDSLT policies and procedures.

Completes all necessary paperwork, evaluations, and record-keeping in a timely manner.

Perform all other duties relevant to the position as assigned by the supervisor

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Must be able to make presentations as well as address large and diverse groups.

Must be able to multi-task, establish priorities, and meet deadlines, as well as work in a collaborative environment.

Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with CDS Life Transitions constituents, including staff, individuals, families, vendors, donors, etc.

Education and Experience:

Requires minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Advancement, Community Relations, or related field.

3 years of leadership experience with proven success in fundraising/development.

CFRE accreditation preferred.
