Our client a major utility firm, based in Westchester County, NY is looking for a Business Analyst for a contract assignment (6 months+). Details are listed below:

Description:
This role will support two key programs: Financial Planning and replacement of the Time and Attendance system and these programs are required for Business Continuity and safe and secure operations.

The objective of Financial Planning program is to significantly enhance the team s financial modeling and planning capabilities in the following areas: enhanced and expanded ability to perform scenario analysis, automation of existing processes, automation of data transfers from other sources and systems, ability to include new processes and improved reporting capability. These functions are required for Business Continuity and for safe and secure operations.

Job Functions & Responsibilities:
The consultant will be expected to deliver the following activities over the course of the engagement :
Perform data profiling, data quality check, data querying, data cleanup, data mapping
Develop Interface Requirements and Specifications
Develop test scenarios, plans, and scripts
Define, document and manage detailed requirements (functional and technical) including storyboards, wireframes, use cases, etc.
Gather data, analyze, and document business processes
Engage and communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Present, facilitate and document effective meetings
Facilitate and drive development of application support plan, RACI, and support handover documents

Skills
Demonstrated experience and strong functional understanding of Accounting, Budgeting, Treasury, and Commodity Risk.
Expertise and extensive experience with Excel macros a must.
A deep understanding of technical concepts, principles and terminology
Extensive experience performing data profiling and analysis, and querying data
Strong experience working on data integration projects
Extensive experience in developing detailed requirements functional and technical.
Knowledge of data science concepts and extensive experience gathering data requirements.
Experience working within the Agile framework and employing DevOps (Azure DevOps preferred)
Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with utility industry and knowledge of NYISO preferred
Experience with automated testing tools
Experience with SAP FI, Kyriba, Ascend, Allegro applications preferred.
Experience in SAP Analytics Cloud is a plus
Good understanding of SAP CATS, Time Evaluation and Payroll modules.
Ability to work in a team environment with both employees and consultants is a must.
Ability to communicate effectively across many different levels of technical and business teams.
Proven management and organizational skills.
Strong adaptability and capacity to work in fast-paced environments

Education & Certifications
BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited school, or equivalent.
5+ years of applicable experience, preferably in the area of Business Analysis for IT projects including cloud computing and data integration.
Any of the following BA certifications is a plus:
IIBA Entry Certificate in Business Analysis (ECBA)
IIBA Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA)
IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
IIBA Agile Analysis Certification (AAC)
IQBBA Certified Foundation Level Business Analyst (CFLBA)
IREB Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering (CPRE)
PMI-Professional in Business Analysis (PBA) Certification

Certifications in Agile, DevOps a plus

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday (8-hour day consisting of 7.5-hour paid workday plus a required 0.5-hour unpaid lunch.)
