We are looking for a service-oriented individual with a high energy, positive and friendly demeanor to join our accounting team as a bookkeeper!

Under the direction of the Controller, and in accordance with the values and policies of the company, this position is responsible for the overall bookkeeping of several companies under the same ownership, to include accounts payable, accounts receivable, and limited tax and financial reporting duties. Competence in this position ensures a solid financial foundation that helps create an exceptional experience for all guests and staff.

Principal Responsibilities/Tasks:

The following description of work to be performed by this individual is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be accomplished. There are many necessary activities to satisfy any of the following performance guidelines.

Accounts Payable:

Ensure proper and complete processing of vendor payments

Record vendor invoices and payments in QuickBooks

Accounts Receivable:

Process cash and check deposits

Write and deposit checks

Invoice clients/guests and ensure accounts are kept up-to-date

Process invoices and payments for clients/guests in QuickBooks

Other duties, including but not limited to:

Create and manage spreadsheets and documents as requested

File and pay Sales & Use tax and ensure accuracy of reporting

Knowledge, Skills and Other Abilities:

Must have knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role

Competent in Microsoft Office and Quickbooks

Familiar with basic restaurant accounting principles necessary to help manage food and labor costs, department profitability, etc

Excellent human relations and management skills

Oral and Written Communication Skills
