Bilingual Home Visitor - Early Intervention Specialist

REPORTS TO: Bilingual Home Visitor Coordinator
STATUS: Full-Time
TERM: 12 months
WORK SITE: Henderson, Transylvania & Polk Counties TRAVEL: 75%
EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development, Birth-Kindergarten, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, or directly related field with Early Childhood Education/Experience. Bilingual in English and Spanish. Trained/Accredited in challenging behaviors (Triple P, ABA, ABC, or other related certification).
EXPERIENCE:
Prefer two years of infant/toddler and/or preschool teaching and/or home visiting experience. Head Start/Early Head Start experience preferred. Experience with behavioral management.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Educate and coach 10-12 families in the areas of parenting, health, nutrition, and child development through weekly 90-minute home visits to assist parents in becoming more effective educators of their children. Focus will be in supporting families who have children with behavioral needs through regular collaboration with the Early Intervention Team including in-house Behavior Interventionists.
