STATUS: Full – Time Non-Exempt
SALARY RANGE: $16.46 -$22 per hour
TERM: 10 Months

Position Summary: This position involves providing high-quality educational experiences to enhance school readiness for eligible four-year-olds that comply with the NC Division of Child Development and Early Education and NC Pre-K requirements and the Head Start Performance Standards.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Education/Training: All lead teachers will hold, or be actively working toward a North Carolina Birth through Kindergarten Residency License.
Teachers working toward the required education and licensure shall hold a minimum of a
BA/BS degree and one of the following requirements:
(1) NC Initial BK License, or
(2) A North Carolina K-6 license and a provisional Preschool Add-on license, or
(3) A BA/BS degree in early childhood education, child development, or a related field, and be eligible for a NC B-K License.
Experience: Prefer two years of experience in pre-school classroom with ability to adapt curriculum to meet the needs of all children including at risk, special needs, gifted and culturally diverse populations.
