What Makes a McKibbon Food & Beverage Manager?

As a key member of the hotel leadership team, the Service Manager is accountable for the service, and steps of service operations, training and implementation for Capella on 9. By partnering closely with the Director of Food & Beverage, and F&B management team, your focus is to perfect the guest service experience at Capella on 9.

A Day in the Life of a Service Manager:

You will serve as Manager on Duty when the Director of Food & Beverage is away, monitoring quality, providing guidance, and recovering guest issues.

You are responsible for holding people accountable in matters of disciplinary action on your MOD shifts.

You will monitor the steps of service, scheduling, staffing levels continued brand training, and serving areas to ensure that associates are meeting food and beverage quality, brand, and service standards.

You help control certain aspects that determine profit and loss within each of the outlets, including collaborating with onsite banquet team, and sales staff.

You will work with the Director of Food & Beverage to ensure that special events are properly supplied maintained, and events executed.

You will work with the Director of Food & Beverage and Assistant General Manager on administrative duties, including tracking expenses, FOH scheduling, maintaining marginal profitability, and inventories.

Job Requirements:

Must have similar experience in a high volume, high profile operation

3 years of minimum experience in a beverage/food outlet

Experience in a supervisory or managerial position

The ability to implement an established menu and service standards for all sub departments

The ability and drive to personify our culture in every interaction with guests and associates

The ability to perform initial and ongoing training of associates

The ability to deliver on the quality of service that guests deserve and expect

Ideal Skills & Qualities:

The ability to communicate with guests in a way to delight and impress them

The ability to create a fun, supportive, and dynamic work environment for associates

Keeping up-to-date with local events and tailoring Food and Beverage operations to enhance guests experience in the local community

A conscientious spirit and the drive to excel in every aspect of your duties

The creativity and drive to enhance sales in the lounge and food outlets
