Dining Room Manager -
The Market Place Restaurant is a group of cooks, farmers, waiters, cheese-makers, organizers, brewers, and dishwashers who share a common philosophy about how we eat and in a larger sense, about life.
Located in the heart of downtown Asheville, The Market Place has been a leader in the culinary community for over 40 years.
We are currently looking for a Dining Room Manager to join our restaurant family. The position's responsibility will be to oversee daily operations under the General Manager, to ensure the restaurant exceeds expectations in customer service, staff development, food and beverage quality, marketing and promotions - all leading to a financially successful operation.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee all matters of the restaurant and bar in conjunction with the management team.
- Help facilitate and coach all staff members.
- Ensure that the guest experience is top notch and the guest experience is exceeded.
- Assist in facilitating of Events to ensure memorable experiences.
- Assist in the Financial Performance of the restaurant pertaining to all 3 Key Metrics; Purchasing, Labor and Sales.
- Ensure that the location is compliant with all relevant Laws and Regulations and provides a Safe Environment for staff and guests by proper management of staff.
Qualifications include:
- 3-5 year restaurant management experience - a must.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, POS programming (MICROS preferred), Open Table Reservation Software.
