The Market Place Restaurant, is Asheville's original farm to table restaurant, by Chef William Dissen, located in the heart of downtown Asheville on historic Wall Street. We are celebrating over 42 years of hospitality in Asheville!
We are currently looking to hire a Host / Hostess
We are a group of cooks, farmers, waiters, artisans, organizers, brewers, and dishwashers who share a common philosophy about how we eat and in a larger sense, about life. Located in the heart of downtown Asheville, The Market Place Restaurant focuses on being a community leader and bringing sustainable, ingredient-driven food and drink to the region in a casual, neighborhood setting.
We are looking for applicants with 2-3 years of minimum relevant experience in the industry, as well as a fundamental understanding of restaurants and work professionalism.
Full weekend availability is necessary to be considered for hire.
The Market Place is looking to hire those with a genuinely positive attitude, pleasant demeanor, and strong work ethic.
Interviews will be arranged by appointment.
Requirements:
- Following all Covid-19 sanitation protocols
- Professional and positive attitude
- Friendly and outgoing
- Knowledge of OpenTable Reservation System
- Knowledge of Front of House Service
- Sanitation and organization a must
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers
- Professional working environment
- Minimum 2-3 years experience
- Motivated candidates only need apply
