Sunny Days In-Home Care Carolinas is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to join our team and work with clients and caregivers across Western North Carolina.
Initial schedule will be 16 hours per week: 4 hours on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, preferably but willing to adjust slightly.

Position Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the initial assessment and ongoing evaluation of clients and caregivers. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the initial assessment of client needs and completion of 90-day assessments ongoing. The RN is responsible for conducting caregiver evaluations and ongoing assessments. Consequently, the RN is responsible for demonstrating and training proper techniques related to the client’s level of support needed. The RN should be an excellent communicator who’s able to grasp client needs and problem solve ways to fulfill them within the scope of non-medical home care. The primary goal will be to partner with the Agency Director to assess and safeguard client and caregiver safety. The RN promotes our mission and vision in all aspects of daily operations. The RN exhibits flexibility and reliability to uphold the company standards of customer service.
Responsibilities
Builds and maintain relationships with prospective individuals and families needing care as well as referral sources
Assesses applicant’s and caregiver’s knowledge and abilities to provide assistance with daily living skills
Provides on-site training if assessment of caregiver dictates that additional training is necessary
Completes initial intake process and plan of care for client within 24-48 hours of referral
Monitors client needs for necessary support plan changes
Routinely completes 90-day assessments to review clients’ plan of care
Routinely completes caregiver evaluations to ensure the plan of care is implemented as written
Enters and updates assessment information in data system(s)
Assists with delivery and distribution of needed supplies for caregivers
Ensures a Quality Improvement plan is implemented, documented, reviewed, and updated routinely
Visits each client within 24-48 hours following a fall, injury, or hospitalization
Partners with the Agency Director to meet growth initiatives by marketing and networking in local and surrounding communities
Ensures proper training for caregivers on care plans and all aspects of daily living skills
Other assigned duties from Executive Director of Operations or CEO
Skill Requirements
Background in home healthcare industry knowledge is a plus
Five or more years of direct nursing experience
Proficient in MS Office, with working knowledge of data entry systems
A customer-oriented attitude
Excellent communication skills
Problem-solving aptitude
Ability to work well with a team
Qualifications
Must be a registered and licensed RN in the state of NC
Valid Driver’ s license and reliable transportation
Current auto insurance and registration
