Summary:
The Repair Technician uses equipment service and repair skills, equipment cleaning procedures, and education skills to ensure that all equipment is in a patient ready condition. Equipment that is in a patient ready condition is defined as equipment that is operating within the specifications of the manufacture, that has been packaged together with all accessories, and that has been cleaned in a manner to destroy or remove all containments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Include the following, other duties may be assigned.
Maintain the Repair Warehouse including but not limited to the proper disposal, handling, and rotation of all products and supplies. Ensure that the warehouse complies with the safety requirements of all governmental agencies and with all company policies. Assist in all audits conducted in the Repair Warehouse
Maintain inventory levels for all general warehouse cleaning and repair supplies
Complete purchase requisitions for supplies and repair parts used within the Repair Warehouse
Perform Equipment Repair/Services including the creation of RAs, purchase orders, and shipment/delivery of equipment
Clean and maintain equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and company policies
Report equipment hazards and/or product incidents as required in accordance with company policy
Competencies:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies.
Technical: Complete certification classes for all items to be repaired within the Repair warehouse; repair all items to manufacture standards in an effective/efficient manner; demonstrate a working knowledge of all products/services/programs; assist in daily operations as special circumstances dictate.
Organizational Skills: Able to organize all repair/service, supplies, parts, tools, and manuals; records measurements/findings to ensure compliance with all applicable guidelines/specifications

Education, Credentials, Certification, and/or Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
2 years of DME experience, preferably with experience in DME logistics, warehousing, inventories and point-of-delivery systems, as well as, best-practice business processes for proper maintenance and handling of supplies and equipment
Experience with logistical (inventory/warehouse) programs, preferably using Brightree and POD systems
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong analytical/decision making skills.
Strong organizational skills
Work with minimal supervision and make appropriate judgments
Working Environment:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Majority of time is spent normally in a typical warehouse work environment. From time to time this position may require the employee to work a flexible schedule including but not limited to weekends, evening hours and over 40 hours.
