Gallery Sales Associate
Part Time

Become a part of a quickly growing artist-owned and operated company located in Downtown Asheville. The Lexington Glassworks is Asheville's premier glassblowing studio and gallery.
Job Summary:
Lexington Glassworks is looking for a Gallery Sales Associate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a background in the arts. In this role, you will assist in the daily operations of the gallery.
Qualifications:
Creative or art background, knowledge of glass a plus
Presentable, neat & timely
Sales experiences a MUST
Basic social media experience
Comfortable speaking with groups and working with the public
Must be able to multi-task
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent communication skills
Being able to take direction and constructive criticism
Positive attitude
Must be able to work independently
Familiarity with Mac, POS systems, G Suite
Must be willing to work late hours and weekends
Must be able to lift 50 lbs., work in extreme temperatures, and climb ladders
Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
General clerical duties
Maintain the cleanliness of the gallery including dusting, cleaning glass, and sweeping
Maintain the cleanliness of all work surfaces including the front desk, media table, and office
Take sales using a POS system
Restock the gallery
Check the bathrooms each day for cleanliness and restock supplies as needed
Maintain the inventory packing materials i.e. stamp bags, bag insert cards, tags, bubble wrap, boxes, etc.
Maintain Instagram with direction from Marketing Director
Assist in packing and shipping of glass
