In adherence with safe operating procedures, load fiber and operate equipment to produce quality baled fiber. Responsible for quality, production, waste, uptime, and organization of work area.
Production Associate Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic mechanical skills
Basic math skills, ratios, trending
Basic computer skills
Excellent attendance
Ability to lift up to 50#
Ability to work with minimum supervision
Ability to work alone or as part of a team
Summary of essential job functions
Operate forklift to deliver fiber to hopper(s)
Load layers of fiber in one or more hoppers
Monitor functions of one or more cards
Monitor quality of product
Pack bales using wrap and ties
Unload baler
Print tickets and apply to bales
Scan bales into inventory
Operate forklift to place bales in storage
Accurate completion of production paperwork
Troubleshoot quality and performance of equipment
Perform preventive maintenance tasks
Assist Maintenance in repairing equipment
Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner
Work on main production line, as needed
