The American Association of Radon Scientist and Technologies (AARST) and the National Radon Proficiency Program (NRPP), located in downtown Hendersonville, NC is looking to hire a detail-oriented and career-minded individual immediately who would like to work full-time, Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

AARST and NRPP work closely with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) to develop, update and maintain standards for the Radon industry nationwide. This position will require the candidate to maintain continuous calendar and schedule maintenance for several committees at any given time; coordinate timing and access for all committee meetings, create real-time meeting minutes of all committee meetings and assist the Accredited Standards Developer (ASD) in tasks such as writing and editing standards as well as creating and retaining all ANSI required documentation as required.

Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft WORD, Excel, Constant Contact and Google Calendar. Experience with Zoom meeting management software and technical writing would be a plus. Candidate needs to be well organized with the ability to work on and track multiple projects simultaneously. Position would work well for someone with an Environmental Science degree but is not a requirement.

Beginning List of Job Duties:

• Proficient in WORD, Excel, Google Calendar, Zoom Meeting Software

• Facilitate and schedule multiple committee meetings per standard

• Create real-time meeting minutes of all committee meetings

• Maintain documentation of balance and diversity of consensus bodies per standard

• Collect and document evidence of consensus through due process

• Assist with appeal process

• Complete and maintain accurate and detailed forms as required by the American National Standards Institute

• Continues deadline communication and maintenance

• Assist the ASD (Accredited Standards Developer) retain documentation that demonstrates a balanced consensus body.
