Vacancy expired!

Hi there! Thanks for checking out my job posting :)

Its rather long and detailed, and like the job itself, it will ask that you take time and really understand what I am asking for.

On the other hand, the pay is obviously excellent, you can definitely make $18-20 an hour if you are well qualified and perform well over time.

In addition, this is a job where at least 80% and possibly up to 90% of the work will be from wherever you are, and generally you will have a lot of flexibility about when you do it, as long as you can be available at least 1.5-2 hours during the work day (preferably between 2 and 6pm) each work day.

I am also open to being flexible on how many hours per week are required. I will work with you! :)

However, you should really ask yourself if this job is a good fit for you, before you apply.

Yes, its mostly virtual work, so you can do it from home, and you will have a lot of flexibility. These are great perks, for many people.

However, this is a extremely complex, detail-oriented job. I realize the pay is high, but this is because this job requires a very tech-savvy person, it requires very advanced commitment to organization and follow-through.

If you are the kind of person who for a enjoys playing with new apps, and trying out and trouble shooting how to better manage devices in your home or work life, and tend to keep your life very organized (do you have extensive files at home with years of records organized and neatly labeled?), this may be a good fit for you.

If the above is not a description of you, you should strongly consider looking elsewhere, as you will very quickly find the job proves quite challenging, and just applying for the job will take a good chunk of time.

Also, I want to say up front, that due to the highly sensitive nature of working with my client records, I am required to do extensive background checks, I will need to verify prior employment and check several references, and you will be need to be able to pass random drug screens.

THE JOB:

I am a therapist and a psychiatric nurse practitioner. I am in private practice (its just me).

I love working with my clients, and I really enjoy what I do. I truly am passionate about helping people, and feel extremely grateful I ended up finding this work. Its a calling for me.

I think 10 hours a week would be the absolute least amount needed, and I could probably use as much as 15 or 20 as you get more trained and have greater capacity to assist.

I am asking for an 18 month committment, and I prefer at least 4 weeks notice, though I understand this is not always possible so I will just pay a bonus based on how many weeks notice you give me.

On the other hand, if you stay in the job and are doing well, you will get regular raises and bonuses, and have tons of flexibility.

To do this job, there are 3-4 different complex pieces of software that need to be understood and used correctly. You will have to spend quite a bit of time learning these.

There is about a 40 page work-flow document that needs to be followed, and kept up to date. Its basically a long list of descriptions of how to use the various pieces of software in an orderly way to create the best work-flow and prevent mistakes. Following and keeping this document up to date is essential.

As part of the hiring process, I am going to provide you with the large sections of this work-flow document, and ask you to read it and tell me how to handle various situations - some of which may require you to think creatively and do some technical problem solving.

This is not a job you would want to just apply for to see if you can get it. You will have to be willing to invest something to see if its a good fit. I will also ask you to research a technical issue or two (these will not be specialized research tasks, but more general like "find me 3 apps on google play that I can do X, Y, and Z and give me what you think of their pro's and con's" I may also quiz you on basic questions about how to use MS Excel (nothing crazy). I will also do an interview where I provide you with materials to read, learn and understand, and check your ability to follow through.

When you send me your resume, please send me answers to the following questions: What are the 3-4 software applications you find the most useful or use most regularly? What do you use them for? What are the pro's and con's of each?

Also, please describe a technical challenge (either devices or software) you encountered recently, and how you solved it.

Specific tasks:

- Corresponding with clients (mostly via private messaging app, with some phone calls as well), about appointments, medication refills, scheduling, etc.

- There will be some in-person tasks, just to be clear and upfront. Everything from occasionally cleaning the office, making copies, at times shopping.

- Gathering information from clients (including demographic and insurance information), at times verifying insurance, and inputting this into my EMR.

- Some of the tasks may be for myself personally at times, although I am sensitive to whatever limits you have. If you are willing, other personal tasks at times as well, in person (phone calls, paying bills, research on random issues, like "could you look up reviews on an app that can do X, Y, and Z, and summarize them?", also I may need help with cleaning/organizing, etc). The personal tasks will be a small fraction of the overall job, less than 20 in general%.

- Over time, I may ask you to help me deal with and keep organized certain aspects of my billing process ... reconciling insurance payments, client payments, and doing so with an app that is not necessarily intuitive. I do have a professional biller who handles most of the issues, but there are some tasks that tend to come up I would love to have help with.
