Old Hampton Store Barbeque & Tavern in Linville, NC is now hiring restaurant staff (FOH and BOH) to join our strong team. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, friendly, and hard-working. Full time, part time, and seasonal positions are available with opportunity for growth. Day, evening, and weekend shifts available. Flexibility is preferred.

Kitchen Manager
Line and Prep Cook
Front of House Register and Food Runner
Wood-fired pizza thrower (part time at special events, Thursday and Saturday nights!)
Dishwasher
Art Gallery Manager and Receptionist at 87 Ruffin Street Folk Art Gallery
Restaurant staff work in both the kitchen preparing food and in the restaurant delivering food to customers. Staff are cross-trained to work all restaurant duties.
Restaurant Staff Responsibilities
- Food prep: prepare our unique in-house recipes including meat for smoking
- Line cooking: short order cooking and plate food efficiently for high volume
- Keep our kitchen to the highest degree of sanitary standards, including washing dishes
- Work under ServSafe sanitation and safety guidelines
- Deliver food to customers and take orders at restaurant counter with excellent customer service
- Maintain clean restaurant and bathrooms
- Willingness and flexibility to work both front of house restaurant and kitchen shifts and assist where needed at all locations during shift
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience, ideally in restaurant, but will train the right candidate
- High school diploma/GED or current high school senior (for select positions)
- Ability to work on your feet for eight hours or more a day
- High level of professionalism including customer service orientation and punctuality
- Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Excellent customer service
- Excellent verbal communication and organization skills
- Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds at a time on a regular basis
- Flexibility and team orientation
