JOB DESCRIPTION:
Seeking skilled PIPE FOREMAN who is responsible for supervising crew and installing underground pipes, varying in sizes from 6"-108", for residential, civil, and commercial projects. Installation of the pipe includes positioning, joining, and aligning the pipes at proper depths, angles, and grades. The PIPE FOREMAN is essential in communicating with other team members regarding the excavating activities associated with installing the pipe so that work is performed safety and efficiently. Current job site is in North Wilkesboro, NC.

Skills and Experience:
⢠Supervise crew in a heavy highway/construction environment.
⢠Lead field operations to ensure safety, quality & productivity and oversee compliance with all safety policies and OSHA regulations
⢠Plan and manage production and safety of the project
⢠Monitor and improve crew productions and understand goals
⢠Communicate with professionally and effectively with inspectors
⢠Review construction plans to determine design and specifications
⢠Assists project management in ensuring that all work meets specifications
⢠Maintains accurate reporting of materials used and time reporting of crew members
⢠Must have experience with signaling equipment operators to ensure a safe and proper excavation has been dug.
⢠Must be able to establish alignment and grade with the use of a laser.
⢠Must be able to align and join sections of pipe.
⢠Must be able to coordinate all other activities in the excavation.
⢠Follows policies and procedures to ensure the job is done properly

⢠Able to complete required duties in a fast-paced environment and within stated deadlines

⢠Work average of 10 hour days, 5-6 days per week
⢠Must possess a clean valid driver's license
⢠Verifiable References
⢠Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen
Education/Experience:
⢠High school diploma or equivalent not required, but preferred
⢠A minimum of 5-7 years' experience in pipe laying
⢠A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in managing a crew of pipe layers
