Job Description:

Responsible for designing and developing complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Ensures that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. Ensures solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Possess strong proficiency in development and testing practices common to the industry, and have extensive experience of using design and architectural patterns. At this level, specializations start to form in either Architecture, Test Engineering or DevOp. Contributes to story refinement/defining requirements. Participates and guides team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle. Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas. Codes solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements. Utilizes multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements. Assists team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work. Designs/develops/modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained. Designs/develops/maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance). Sets up and develops a continuous integration/continuous delivery pipeline. Automates manual release activities. Mentors other Software Engineers and coaches team on CI-CD practices and automating tool stack. Individual contributor.

Job Descriptions and Responsibilities:

Analyze, design and support implementation of a Pega 8.x/7.x BPM workflow, based on Business requirements and specifications. Responsible for adhering to development standards defined by the Pega COE and for performing regular code reviews to ensure compliance with those standards. As a member of an Agile Team, it will be required to participate in Scrum ceremonies to include daily stand-up meetings, backlog grooming, product demos, and retrospectives. Written and verbal communication skills are very important to ensure all team members are aware of roadblocks and development progress. Work with Testing Teams to ensure timely correction of defects or missed requirements.

Required Skills:

• 7+ years of IT experience (Pega 8.x/7.x BPM, Java, SOA, WSDL, Web services, HTML, XML, JavaScript, XHTML, CSS, and Oracle)

• 5 years of experience creating Pega BPM solutions

• Pega Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) required . Lead System Architect (LSA) a plus

• In-depth understanding of UI/UX designs with the ability to lead teams creating data entry forms

• Proven ability to transform business requirements into a working Pega BPM solution

• Participate in the preparation and presentation of demos during the application life cycle

• Work with the Agile Team to expand and groom user stories

• Capacity for understanding complex concepts and workflows

Desired Skills:

• Experience leading a team and strong communications skills

• Exposure to a variety to technologies, including object-oriented techniques/principles, database design, application & web servers

• Ability to match technology solutions to customer needs

• Experience with Jira, Jenkins, BIX, Oracle DB development, REST API
