Description We are currently seeking Accounts Receivable (A/R) Clerk candidates who are self-starting and detail-oriented. This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. Entering, posting, and reconciling batches, researching and resolving customer A/R issues, preparing aging report, placing billing and collection calls, maintaining cash receipts journal, updating, and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L will be among the Accounts Receivable Clerk's duties. Candidates looking for career growth potential and who are capable of processing 200+ invoices per week will be best fit for this position.How you will make an impactProvide information, as requested to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders

Process payments and compile segments of annual reports and monthly closings in compliance with GAAP

Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans

Verify codes and documents

Locate delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment

Square bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in diverse ledgers

Support, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization

Carry out an assortment of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks Requirements

AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field

Demonstrated analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills

ERP system experience

General familiarity with Microsoft Excel

Foundational knowledge in Billing Collection

Proven knowledge of SAP

Commercial collections experience preferred

Customer service experience

Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)

Well-founded grasp of Sage Software

Deep understanding of B2B Sales

2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
