Company.Anthem's Oncology & Palliative Care Clinical Solutions team is expanding with two critical positions to support our strategic aims to transform the care our members receive.Advanced Analytics Analyst Senior (E13)Location: RemoteAdvanced Analytics Analyst Senior c reates datasets that incorporate relevant data and develop analytic results and models that predict, classify, quantify, and/or forecast business metrics or support studies to address specific business issues determined by consultation with business partners. Partner with team to produce meaningful results and draw insights that inform and shape direction for key initiatives. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

Proactively collaborates with business partners to determine identified population segments and develop actionable plans to enable the identification of patterns related to quality, use, cost and other variables.

Integrate complex data from varied sources to create and prepare analytical data sets that will answer questions and help to focus effort .

Maintain documentation of analytic processes and contribute to preparation of standard and efficient coding/programming approaches.

Help to develop and design ongoing reporting (using Excel, Tableau or other tools) to allow routing monitoring of key indicators.

Prepare and discuss analytic results with business partners.

Advanced Analytics Consultant (E14)Location: RemoteAdvanced Analytics Consultant designs analytic approaches to explore, quantify and share critical insights that inform development and assessment of key strategic initiatives. Consults with clinical team to define key performance metrics that determine project success and guide analytic development and ongoing monitoring plan. Guide path for development of analytic environments and reporting outputs to answer questions and build a comprehensive story. Consults with business leaders and internal partners to understand needs and guide towards appropriate usage and interpretation of data/analytics. Assist and guide partners to appropriately apply insights in order to support information based strategic decision making. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

Provides analytical insights to support business solution development based on quality, use, cost and other key drivers.

Develops and refines analysis templates for problem diagnosis and opportunities assessment.

Consults on all considerations related to designing and executing tests or pilot programs.

Contributes to the design of new program/initiative based on test/pilot outcomes; develops targeting criteria or customer segmentation based on analytical insights, clinical inputs, product design and operations considerations.

Develops or guides development of predictive models and other tools that help target and focus effort.

Develops methodology to measure clinical, utilization and financial outcomes of a program/initiative.

Conducts in-depth research to address challenging issues in measuring outcomes.

Leads applied research projects and represents team for collaborative studies and cross-department analytic efforts.

Authors white papers, presents at industry conferences and submits journal publications.

Advanced Analytics Analyst Senior

Requires Graduate-level degree with concentration in a quantitative discipline such as statistics, computer science, cognitive science, economics, or operations research.

3-5 years direct experience programming large, multi-source datasets using SAS or SQL programming language required.

3-5 years in health care setting; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Intermediate to Advanced expertise with programming and data manipulations within SAS, Teradata, SQL, SQL Server, or equivalent.

Proven ability to integrate raw data to create analytic datasets to inform needs.

Experience with data models, addressing data quality issues in study design, constructing robust and efficient analytical data sets.

Significant experience in healthcare related field strongly preferred.

Proven ability to present meaningful results to a business audience.

Preferred experience with Tableau or other reporting environments.

Ability to participate collaboratively in a team tasked to produce complex analyses on a rigorous schedule.

Strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability to present to large multi-disciplinary audiences on a regular basis.

Advanced Analytics Consultant

Requires Graduate-level degree with concentration in a quantitative discipline such as Health Evaluation, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Epidemiology, Engineering, Computer Science or Operations Research.

5-10 years experience in related health care analytics; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Experience consulting with business or clinical partners to guide, inform and clarify on analytic needs and present recommendations based on analytic results.

Experience leading analyses and mentoring others to develop datasets/systems for segmentation and/stratifiction that support various needs.

Substantial analytical experience in healthcare industry.

Experience with oncology preferred.

Advanced expertise with SAS or SQL. Comfortable with learning new environments or analytic tools required.

Experience with advanced reporting tools (e.g. Tablueau) preferred.
