Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry in their Charlotte, NC location. This is a 12 month + contract position.
Description:
The position is for the Technical Analyst/Python developer of a risk platform that supports Risk and Capital modeling teams
A Python developer with a passion to understand the big picture by gaining an understanding of code base and debugging issues, resolving in a timely manner
The resource will be supporting, debugging issues for the Platform tech is building and support Users adopting the platform to build their own business processes
Ability to perform technical analysis and document, draw architecture diagrams on aspects like Authorization and Authentication, Data Service layer/Data Abstraction, Workflow frameworks, etc.
The position requires someone with the unique combination of design, technical analysis, development, and testing skills
The individual will be working with developers, business, and testing teams to get the work done
The Technical Analyst will be expected to perform analysis in support of development, test, and production activities
Individuals will be expected to do process modeling, technical analysis, and technical requirement definition.
Familiar with Agile methodology and creating Epics and Stories based on their analysis activities
Work with developers (on and offshore) and business partners to understand/capture new requirements and to conduct testing, resolve issues
Requirements:
The position requires a minimum of 5 years of Python development experience
Agile experience (including writing user stories)
Required technical skills: Hadoop, and RDBMS, and intermediate SQL knowledge
Ability to write Python code
Experience in creating Process diagrams, Data Models
Knowledge of JIRA or similar tool
Able to work as a W2 employee of Genesis10 (no Corp-to-Corp)
Desired Skills:
The ideal candidate will understand Credit Loss Forecasting and/or Risk Management (Credit, Market, Liquidity, etc.)
Exposure to Technical analysis/languages
Previous development experience
