It all begins with you.Wells Fargo Technology sets IT strategy; enhances the design, development, and operations of our systems; optimizes the Wells Fargo infrastructure footprint; provides information security; and enables continuous banking access through in-store, online, ATM, and other channels to Wells Fargo’s more than 70 million global customers.The Wells Fargo Enterprise Information Technology’s Data Technology Team team is looking for a Senior ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) Production Support Engineer to support the operations of multiple Enterprise scale Data Warehouse applications within the Production Support Shared Service organization. This position has the primary responsibility of providing Level 2 production support, analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving production job failures, data research, and recommending code fixes as well as coordinating with the ETL Development, Database, and Business Analyst teams within each application team.This team provides support of new/updated code deployments to the CLRTY data mart, which is used by the Home Lending Credit Risk Management business unit for BASEL, CAR, CCAR and FR Y-14M regulatory reporting, as well as other business critical reporting and analytic needs.Key Responsibilities include:Primary production support for analytical data ETL jobs within the data warehouse application environmentTroubleshoot and analyze complex production problems related to source dataTroubleshoot and analyze existing Ab-initio code as well as fix the Ab-initio code to resolve production incidentsCollaborate with the business analysts and ETL team members to resolve complex data design issues/provide optimal solutions that meet business requirements and benefits system performance.Follow all enterprise software development lifecycle processes and standards.Develop and foster a positive relationship with team members, team leads and business partnersDevelops and updates documentation, departmental technical procedures and user guidesStrictly follow change and incident management processesParticipate in design reviews and ensure application of best practices and standardsReview ETL code for consistency, quality and performanceBe willing to work non-standard business hours on an on-call basis in a 24x7x365 environmentImplement best practices for production environmentsReview release code in lower environments and ensure they follow production standards.Encourage and participate in knowledge sharing as necessaryRequired Qualifications:
5+ years of application development and implementation experience
5+ years of information technology experience
4+ years of data warehouse experience
4+ years of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Programming experience
3+ years of relational database experience
2+ years of job scheduling experience
2+ years of Ab Initio experience
2+ years of MS SQL server experience
1+ years of Unix Bash shell scripting experience
Desired Qualifications:
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology
Knowledge and understanding of incident management: gathering impacts and analyzing data
Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
