They also inform shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, employees, and leaders of the company's financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines.The Wells Fargo Investment Portfolio (“IP”) comprises both core and specialized investment areas. Core, traditional investment areas include the HQLA Macro Investment Portfolio (“MIP”), the IP Municipal Products Portfolio and the IP Structured Products Portfolio (together referred to as the Credit Investment Portfolio, or "CIP"). Specialized investment areas include the Reinsurance portfolio and the Bank Owned Life Insurance (BOLI) portfolio. The Reinsurance and BOLI area is hiring a Business Support Leader to support the business line in a variety of initiatives.The IP Reinsurance portfolio consists of over $25 billion in life and annuity insurance contracts and BOLI portfolio consists of $20 billion of insurance book value. Though no longer in growth mode, the Reinsurance and BOLI portfolios are long-term arrangements and will require proper management for 20+ years.The functions of the Reinsurance and BOLI team are wide-ranging and include managing two non-bank subsidiaries that hold the reinsurance contracts, managing clients, partnering with CIP and MIP on asset management, operating a financial risk hedging program, and managing the entire BOLI process.The role will report directly to the Head of Reinsurance and BOLI, supporting a team of insurance / financial specialists and actuaries who manage portfolios of variable annuity products, life insurance products, and the BOLI program. The role is responsible for strategizing, planning, and executing a variety of services and initiatives on behalf of the Reinsurance and BOLI vertical leaders. Candidate will also assist in driving broader initiatives spanning the IP and WFC Enterprise Finance organization by coordinating with IP Business Managers and business support partners.The Business Support Leader will serve as a trusted advisor and aid in establishing business priorities and create efficiencies in matters ranging from operations to internal and external governance items. The role includes initiatives focused on operations, technology, finance, and risk management. Candidate must develop relationships with strategic partners that work in these areas, as well as peers and executives to align interests and work to achieve set goals. Candidate will aim to develop and execute group business strategies, process and technology enhancements, business and team member development, executive presentations, financial and portfolio reporting, and ad hoc project management. He/she must be a strategic thinker and serve as an advocate for and represent the group’s interests. Candidate must demonstrate the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage competing interests in a positive manner. Additionally, he/she must exhibit professional maturity, good judgement, and confidentiality as candidate will be privy to restricted information.Specific business responsibilities for the Support Leader include:Partner with management and strategic enterprise partners to execute significant business initiatives.

Create efficiencies in the Reinsurance and BOLI group’s performance of a wide array of governance items.

Define / refine an infrastructure and operational strategy to keep pace with business priorities and regulatory requirements.

Coordinate with the IP Business Manager supporting Reinsurance and BOLI on all larger IP / Finance initiatives.

Develop presentations on behalf of group heads, including executive-level business updates, regulator presentations, and initiative updates.

Facilitate the professional development of team members including assisting with recruiting, training, development and mentoring opportunities that would benefit the team.

Drive accountability across internal functions supporting the business.

Constantly ensure appropriate prioritization of business efforts across operations, technology, risk, finance, human capital, and strategic programs.

Required Qualifications8+ year of experience in one or a combination of the following: business support, project management, implementation, business operations or strategic planning in financial services demonstrated through work or military experience

Desired QualificationsA BS/BA degree or higher

Experience with fixed income securities and investments

Knowledge and understanding of Cornerstone, SHRP or TRIMs, etc.
